ANALISIS INDEKS PENCEMARAN AIR SUNGAI OMBILIN DILIHAT DARI KANDUNGAN KIMIA ANORGANIK

Abstract

 

Sungai merupakan salah satu sumber air yang diperuntukan untuk aktivitas manusia, aktivitas tersebut mengakibatkan aliran air sungai menjadi tercemar dan berdampak pada terjadinya penurunan kualitas air salah satunya industri, Setiap proses di industri pasti menghasilkan limbah, baik itu limbah padat, cair maupun gas, Sungai Ombilin termasuk kedalam golongan sungai tipe B, Penyebab pencemaran sungai pada perairan ini biasanya berasal dari zat zat yang terkontaminasi oleh limbah buangan industry. Di sekitar Sungai Ombilin terdapat PLTU dan area pertambangan batu bara, 2 hal tersebut yang mempengaruhi indeks pencemaran air sungai, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat indeks pencemaran sungai ombilin dilihat dari kandungan Kimia Anorganik,dengan parameter Sianida (Cn-), Klorin (Cl), Nitrit (No2-)TSS dan pH.penelitian ini menggunakan metode indeks pencemaran menurut KepMen LH 115/2003, untuk menentukan indek pencemaran air sungai, dari hasil pengukuran sampel 1 dan 2 didapatkan hasil kandungan Sianida (Cn-), Klorin (Cl), Nitrit (No2-)  dan TSS melebihi baku mutu sedangkan pH tidak melebihi baku mutu air sungai kelas B. dari hasil pengukuran indeks pencemaran sampel 1 termasuk kedalam kategori tercemar tercemar ringan (slightly polluted) sedangkan sampel 2  termasuk kedalam kategori air sungai yang tercemar berat (heavily polluted).

ABSTRACK 

The river is a source of water that is intended for human activities, this activity results in the flow of river water being polluted and has an impact on decreasing the quality of water, one of which is the industry, Every process in an industry must produce waste, be it solid, liquid or gas waste, the Ombilin River included in the type B river group, the cause of river pollution in these waters usually comes from substances contaminated by industrial waste. Around the Ombilin River there is a PLTU and a coal mining area, 2 things that affect the river water pollution index, this study aims to determine the level of the ombilin river pollution index seen from the content of inorganic chemicals, with parameters of cyanide (Cn-), chlorine (Cl), Nitrite (No2-) TSS and pH. This study used the pollution index method according to KepMen LH 115/2003, to determine the river water pollution index, from the measurement results of samples 1 and 2 obtained the results of cyanide (Cn-), chlorine (Cl ), Nitrite (No.2-)  and TSS exceeds the quality standard while the pH does not exceed the Class B river water quality standard. From the measurement results, sample 1 is included in the slightly polluted category while sample 2 is included in the heavily polluted river water category.
